It's hard to create things

But here's my attempt

I'm hoping to create a fiction piece about a non-superhero vigilante in a modern, sci-fi inspired world.
The story revolves around his Watson, so to speak, as both of their lives change as a result of their actions. Death follows them both closely, and their crimes become far less black and white as things develop.
The idea revolves around themes of morality and family, and how those two ideas can overlap in harmful ways.My ultimate aim is to develop my skills into creating a comic, though I'm using written means to develop the story into a full plan before I start drawing. I want the story to be fully formed in terms of plot before I start the creation process. The target audience is older teens and young adults, interested in a darker story. Despite the plot surrounding crime and death, the focus will always be on the characters and emotions they experience, resulting in a product with a versitile age range.

SAMAEL

The point of view character and protaganist of the story. He's pulled from a mundane life into the high octane world of crime fighting, and is the audience surrogate in that sense. His experiences and emotions are the main focus of the narrative, and we see the other main characters though his eyes. He's a tinkerer and inventor, with a facination with all kinds of weaponary. He grew up in an unstable household, and is desperate to find a home everywhere he goes. When he ends up being taken in by an otherwise unsavoury individual, his main conflict is between the comfort of being loved and wanted, and the deep discomfort he starts to feel about the actions he's facilitating.

SETH

The main secondary character for the story, and the first source of conflict. His actions and decisions cause a large number of the main plot points, and his personality and morality is a key factor for exploration in the story. He's a cold and uncaring man, with a streak of violence that he takes out on those he deems unworthy of life - violent criminals, abusers, and dangerous individuals. But when he needs better weaponary, he's forced to care for Sam. His story revolves around the growing love he feels despite his otherwise empty emotions, against the sense of duty and purpose he's found in the justice he feels he delivers.

HUNTER

The sympathetic antagonist to the story, Hunter serves as a parallel to Seth. A serial killer with a track record of victims being violent and dangerous individuals, he will stop at nothing to add Seth to that list. However, he also serves as a parallel for Sam. His actions are fuelled by his love for his family, and drives the main themes on how actions most would see as abhorrant can come from a genuine want to see a better world.
